You’ve probably followed a trail of crumbs, whispers and rumours to get here.
So congratulations, you’ll be pleased to know you’re in the right place to get THE definitive word on Feast Marlborough. Let’s dig in shall we?
Feast Marlborough is a four day festival of food for families, food lovers and people wanting to get a taste of our amazing region through the eyes of the talented food producers and culinary wizards that call Marlborough home.
Through a series of events big and small, we’re bringing the best of Marlborough produce, sustainably grown seafood and gourmet products together with the region’s hunters, growers, artisans and culinary talent in a celebration of epic proportions – and you’re invited!
Feast Marlborough kicks off on Thursday May 10, with Gala Feast: an unmissable night of exceptional Marlborough food and wine dished up with song, dance, comedy and visual and performing arts.
The Friday Night Feast street party in central Blenheim is a favourite with Marlburians. There’s banter, there’s live entertainment, there’s enough fairy lights to be seen from an International Space Station, and a HUGE range of delicious foods that showcase Marlborough produce and sing of its provenance and people. Get there early and hungry!
The festivities continue throughout the weekend with Marlborough Underground: a series of exciting culinary events held in unique locations, including the Saint Clair Vineyard Half Marathon, the Vines Village Yoga Brunch and Allan Scott’s Grain Vs Grape Dinner. Marlborough Underground is a unique opportunity for you to explore Marlborough, lift the lid on some of our culinary secrets and experience them for yourself.
If you’re like us, you’re probably already hungry, and the prospect of waiting until May is making you very hangry indeed.
Before you start shooting laser beams out your eyes, we’ll quickly tell you about Rare Fare Marlborough – signature dishes that celebrate the essence of the region’s unique food proposition that will be available at participating restaurants all through April for your grazing pleasure.
Around 20 restaurants have signed up to create their take on what Marlborough food means to them, vying to be named the inaugural Rare Fare Marlborough winner, which will be judged by Cuisine Magazine.
