We may be small, but there is no shortage of super talented, seriously good people with great ideas in Marlborough.
Enter Liz Buttimore and Bradley Hornby from Arbour, the nationally recognised, award-winning restaurant situated on a side road near Renwick (aka in the wop wops), responsible for putting on WK Gala Feast, one of the most exciting culinary events this region has ever hosted.
Gala Feast kicks off the Feast Marlborough weekend at the ASB Theatre Marlborough on Thursday May 10, and promises to be a veritable flight of fancy with exceptional Marlborough food and wine dished up with song, dance, comedy and visual and performing arts.
Maître d extraordinaire and all round good sort, Liz, who has an events background is the organising force behind this multi-sensory dining experience, which she says will shine a spotlight on Marlborough talent.
“Our vision for Gala Feast is to be a celebration of Marlborough talent from the food producers and chefs to artists and performers,” she says.
Gala Feast is sponsored by WK Advisors and Accountants and many of the region’s wine and food producers have jumped at the opportunity to have their world-class products showcased at Gala Feast, including Nautilus Estate, Giesen Wines, No.1 Family Estate, Folium Vineyard, Te Whare Ra Wines, Te Pā Wines, Ōra King salmon, Cloudy Bay Clams, Origin South Lamb, Cranky Goat Cheese, Marlborough Garlic, Thymebank, Old Road Estate, Burkhart Crayfish, and Taylor Pass Honey Co.
Tickets to Gala Feast are selling quicker than hotcakes, so book soon to avoid the FOMOs – because it is going to be a truly incredible night to remember, trust us, you won’t want to miss this one.
